Patrick W. Price is a Los Angeles architectural photographer with two decades of experience working with architects, cultural institutions, and engineering teams in all of California and throughout the U.S. Patrick has had the opportunity to collaborate closely with these architecture and engineering firms to present to the public in photographs and short films their work which is shaping the future of design and public spaces.  Patrick works mainly in Los Angeles and San Francisco expanding his archive of iconic architectural projects and spaces designed by some of the worlds most renown firms while regularly traveling across North America for projects of note. Patrick’s  architectural photography body of work regularly includes the latest globally discussed design and projects.  His photography work began in 2005 honing his craft with the tactility of medium and large format analog film to established his photographic skillset. Patrick’s early work included fine art and conceptual street photography and environmental portraiture working almost exclusively at dusk or dawn and into twilight hours.

As a Los Angeles architectural photographer, Patrick utilizes contemporary digital cameras and drones to greatly increase his ability to shoot in busy cities and bustling spaces bridging the gap between traditional, meticulous architectural photography and a svelt photojournalistic approach. Melding light and shadow, Patrick sets out to bring to visual fruition architecture’s achievements, strength, and sense of place in an ever changing built world.  He is very passionate about delivering the highest quality images and spend a great deal of time curating preparing final images personally. In lieu of automatic or gimmicky methods, Patrick uses mostly in-camera techniques coupled with decisively timed photographic captures in a variety of natural lighting or lightly supplemented scenarios to yield striking images of the spaces. Capturing the whimsy and interaction of people within these spaces is always of great interest to show the fascinating union of humans and the scale of the spaces Patrick photographs. When Patrick isn’t photographing the latest architectural projects in Los Angeles or the rest of the country he spends time with his family in Santa Barbara.
