Robert Day Sciences Center – Claremont McKenna College – BIG Architects
Robert Day Sciences Center at Claremont McKenna College is Bjarke Ingels first architectural project completed in Los Angeles and is a monumental structure composed of two pairs of rotated volumes with common spaces and technical laboratories alike afforded views and atmosphere not typically present in normal laboratory and pavilion designs. Patrick W. Price recently captured and shared still imagery and video sharing a glimpse into latest architecture photography in Los Angeles. While located just outside LA proper, the RDSC is part of the wider Southern California academic network, and its design reflects the innovation shaping the region.
